Energy performance & retrofit consultation for homeowners.

A thorough energy assessment of your home, followed by tailored recommendations for improving comfort and efficiency – based on your budget, your priorities and how your home actually performs.

What you get...

More than a certificate.

An EPC tells you where your property sits on a scale. A consultation tells you what to actually do about it.

We carry out a detailed assessment of your home's construction, heating system, insulation, ventilation and energy use. We then produce a clear set of recommendations – prioritised by impact, cost and practicality – so you can make informed decisions about where to invest.

This isn't a tick-box exercise. We consider the specific characteristics of your property, the way you live in it, and what matters most to you — whether that's a warmer home, lower bills, reduced reliance on gas, or preparing for a future heat pump installation.

What's included in a homeowner consultation?

A person is holding a digital blood pressure monitor displaying a systolic reading of 163, diastolic of 93, and a pulse of 19.0.

Our homeowner consultation covers a full physical survey of your property, an assessment of your current heating and hot water system, analysis of your building's thermal performance, a written report with prioritised recommendations, estimated costs and potential energy savings for each measure, and guidance on available grants or funding schemes.

We also offer follow-up support if you decide to proceed with improvements — from helping you write a specification to reviewing contractor quotes.

Specialists in older & period properties.

If your home was built before the 1920s, standard retrofit advice can do more harm than good. Solid walls behave differently to cavity walls. Traditional lime mortar needs to breathe. Internal insulation in the wrong place can cause condensation and damp.

We understand the building science behind older construction and the particular challenges of properties in Norfolk, from Norwich's medieval streets to rural farmhouses and Victorian terraces. We'll recommend improvements that work with your building, not against it.

For listed buildings and properties in conservation areas, we're familiar with the constraints and can advise on what's achievable within planning and heritage guidelines.

What does a homeowner consultation cost?
